Regular Season Round 14: Hradec Kralove - Trutnov 77-81

The biggest surprise of round 14 was guestTrutnov 's (5-8) road victory over 7th ranked Hradec Kralove (4-9) 81-77 on Sunday evening. Trutnov made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Trutnov made 8 blocks. The best player for the winners was American power forward Kiara Bell (188-2000, college: UMBC) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 19 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks. The other American import guard Meghan Boyd (155, college: Colorado St.) chipped in 26 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Bell is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Trutnov players scored in double figures. Anna Brozova (167-2005) produced 18 points and Slovakian Natalia Martiskova (170-1999) added 15 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) respectively for the hosts. Hradec Kralove's coach Romana Ptackova tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Trutnov moved-up to sixth place. Hradec Kralove lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost.
